KittiesAndBacon Countdown Top 5 Games of 2013
5. Bioshock Infinite
Bioshock Infinite has set the bar for scenery. The first half hour just walking through the city seeing and hearing innumerable little events and details transpire without any provocation from the player is such an overachievement from a dev team of this generation. The boat barbershop singers is an incredibly memorable moment, unlike most of the gameplay from then on.
4. Path of Exile
Path of Exile is an incredible value at the price of $0. This is a true Free to Play game, being completely Free to Win with no artificial cost barriers forcing the player to spend money for any reason. Everything in the game store is cosmetic, or clan related management packages. This game shows a promising future for the free to play strategy.

2. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
Unique co-op system gives an interesting experience tackling casual puzzles with a dark fantasy driven story.
1. Game of the Year: Gone Home
Gone Home is possibly the storytelling I’ve seen in any game, an incredibly immersive experience draws the player so deep into the unfoldings it feels like a real world experience. Gone Home is Game of the Year 2013.
